This commemorative event celebrating the 100th anniversary of the construction of the historic post office will occur from 10-2 p.m. at the old post office in Anoka. This is one last chance to collect an exclusive cachet envelope with the special design created by ACHS for the construction anniversary of this National Register building.

oin us for the official exhibit opening of Getting It Done: Anoka County's Answer to WWII. The new installation tells the story of our county during WWII through the eyes of those who remained at home. Come and enjoy the fun and fellowship of other community members while trading stories, local legends, and light refreshments. The exhibit will be open free all day, reception begins at 6pm.

The 75th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor just occurred and in commemoration, the Anoka County Historical Society has opened a new exhibit exploring life on the home front and the support provided to those who were serving. This program will share what it was like to read the daily war news in the paper, knit socks for the Red Cross, and trade letters with the “boys over there” during this unifying and propaganda-filled era.
