Take a walk through Anoka County history with one of our history tours
Take a walk on downtown Anoka’s spookier side and hear stories of things that go bump in the night!
These tours are filled stories of history and of unexplained things.
They are the final resting place for many in our community. Sometimes called Silent Cities, Anoka County’s many cemeteries are great places to tell the stories of those interred there. These respectful tours take place each October.
It’s a summer tradition that community members look forward to each year – the Anoka Heritage Home and Garden Tour. Get the inside scoop on the historic homes of Anoka as their current owners graciously invite us inside for a peek into history.
The tour features historic homes and gardens throughout the city, each year focusing on a different Anoka historic neighborhood.
The tour takes place one weekend in July. More details…
