Man standing by grave markerThey say “dead men tell no tales,” but there are plenty of stories buried in the cemeteries of Anoka County. These historic resting places contain the remains of many of Anoka County’s original settlers and pioneers. And they all have stories to tell.

Each year, three different cemeteries are chosen for the October cemetery tour. We will visit each one of the featured graveyards on its designated night.

Join us for an evening walk among the tombstones, as one of our well-informed tour guides relates their stories. While there, you will see exquisite examples of tombstone art and learn what the symbols mean.

Tours are scheduled for early October of each year.
