Vince Smith made this collage of Tap, his best friend and workmate in Vietnam, upon his return to America. With the exception of when it was on display at ACHS for a couple of months, these photos have stayed by Vince’s bedside ever since. He said the hardest part about Tap staying in Vietnam was that they were taught never to leave a comrade behind. He’s never forgiven himself. (Object ID 2024.2079.004)
