Digital Programing
The Un-Wise Murder
“An Un-Wise Murder” is a true crime drama based on an actual cold case that occurred in Anoka County in 1900. Edited and produced by ACHS staff, this program not only highlights a story from the archives, but also the new skills staff developed in response to COVID. We hope you enjoy the program and wonder how it would have ended with the benefit of modern science.

History of Columbia Heights
The history of Columbia Heights is unique, transforming from rural to urban and blurring the lines between where Hennepin County ends and Anoka County starts. Sara Given, from the Anoka County Historical Society, shares the stories and history of Columbia Heights. She will focus on its beginnings, the ways in which it drew new residents, and why a quirk of timing meant there is an entire city in the middle of it.
